This isn't a "sit still
and stretch"
situation.

In our 45 minutes together, we move through animal poses, balance challenges, breathing games, and playful mini-adventures — building strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness along the way.

Children practice listening to their bodies, trying brave things, and discovering how to move from big energy to steady calm — a skill I hope they carry home long after class ends.

Most parents and children love doing the whole class together — and it tends to be a highlight for the grown-ups too! For some families, it works better for the parent to hang out in the back of the room or just outside — that's always welcome too. We'll figure out what works best for your family.

  • Try something new — wobbling is welcome
  • Laugh freely and move with big energy
  • Take a big breath and curl up like a roly-poly
  • Feel proud of what their bodies can do
"When a space feels physically and psychologically safe, children are free to explore, take risks, and relax into their growth."

— Teacher Lindsay

Side effects may include: deeper nighttime breaths, spontaneous downward dogs in the living room, and a new favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon together. Many families love to keep the connection going after class — the Windmill School campus sits next to beautiful trails and Little People's Park. And one of the loveliest parts of our yoga adventures is the community that grows alongside it: some children and families have connected really meaningfully through class. Bring a friend from school, a neighbor, a cousin — it's so fun when we get to meet new friends at yoga! 🌈

Hi, I'm Lindsay

I've been working with young children for the past 10 years — including six joyful years lifting stumps to look for worms at Bing Nursery School, and more recently as the founding instructor of Woodside Forest Club.

My Master's degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Education — and, more importantly, the children and families I've learned alongside — have shaped my belief that movement and learning are inextricably linked for learners of all ages.

I've been a dedicated student of yoga for the past seven years and a teacher for four. I currently teach Vinyasa and Power classes at YogaSource Palo Alto, as well as private classes and community events.

My philosophy around teaching yoga mirrors my philosophy around working with young children: when a space feels physically and psychologically safe, children — and adults — are free to explore, take risks, and relax into their growth.

I'm so delighted to guide this movement journey for your young yogis.
